Consultant and Business Analyst
Consultant (full-time position)
CPG offers Consultants a unique combination of work
experience, skills training, and professional mentoring. Consultants are
expected to take part in every stage of a project, receiving comprehensive
exposure to both the consulting and financial services industries. Typical
responsibilities include:
- Management of small to medium-sized client engagements.
- Constructing analytical models to analyze revenue improvement, efficiency,
and productivity opportunities for clients.
- Development of detailed financial, product, and other business performance
analytics.
- Development of and participation in presentations to senior executives
of leading financial services companies in the U.S.
- Evaluating the performance of competitors across the industry to support
published articles and reports and client advisory activities.
Consultants have significant exposure to senior executives at client
organizations and work closely with senior members of the firm to develop
strategic recommendations for a diverse set of industry competitors. Clients
generally range in size from $1 billion to $500 billion in assets and
include many of the leading U.S. financial services companies. Some travel
is required. CPG emphasizes professional development, and advancement
opportunities are unlimited.
CPG Consultant Candidates must have:
- 5-15 years experience working in retail banking, mortgage lending,
consumer lending, or commercial banking in a finance, marketing, or
business analyst, or management role.
- Experience managing projects, project team members, and third-party
vendors and a proven track record of delivering results.
- An MBA from a top tier business school desired.
- A strong academic record, including a minimum overall GPA of 3.4 (GPA
must be included in resume to be considered for the position).
- An aptitude and eagerness to learn.
- Well-developed analytical skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to manage several assignments concurrently.
- A strong background in finance, accounting, and marketing.
- A good knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Excel, PowerPoint
and Word.
- A high level of ethical integrity.

Business Analyst (full-time position)
CPG's Business Analyst Program offers a unique combination
of work experience, skills training, and professional mentoring. Analysts
act as important members of client engagement teams, taking the lead role
in generating required research and analytics and taking part in ideation
sessions with the consulting staff to bring insights to solving client
issues. CPG's Business Analysts gain exposure to both the consulting and
financial services industries. Typical responsibilities include:
- Financial analysis of bank and other financial service company P&Ls
and balance sheets and comparison of performance to peer institutions.
- Assessments of the competitive landscape, including strategies, products
and services, value propositions, and operational advantages of major
financial services company competitors.
- Development of quantitative models to analyze expansion opportunities,
financial return associated with new initiatives, and the impacts of
consulting team recommendations.
- Research to evaluate and investigate financial services industry trends,
consumer and business customer needs and preferences, and technology
developments.
- Development of portions of presentations to senior managers of leading
financial services companies in the US
- Analysis of company-specific news, performance, and developments to
inform business development activities for the firm.
- Limited travel to US client locations.
Candidates for CPG's Business Analyst Program must have:
- A strong background in finance, with additional study of business,
marketing, and statistics preferred.
- A high level of interest in the financial services industry.
- Some industry experience; experience working as a financial or business
analyst, particularly in the financial services industry, a plus.
- Well-developed analytical skills; ability to build quantitative models
a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, especially Excel.
- An aptitude and eagerness to learn.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to manage several assignments concurrently.
- A high level of ethical integrity.
Education Undergraduate degree required with a minimum overall GPA of
